Fire Protection Products

Passive fire products are the first line of defence in a fire, and they work by reacting to fire without human intervention - sealing openings to contain fire in a building by means of compartmentation, by retarding the passage of flames across a surface, and by resisting the penetration of fire into structural elements such as doors. This not only limits the damage to property, but gives time for people to be evacuated safely from the building, and allows firefighters to get to the scene.

Envirograf CV Cavity Strip Barrier

Envirograf have designed a unique fire seal for sealing cavities in external clad buildings. CV Cavity Strip Barrier is a thin, flexible PVC and foiled clad intumescent material with a self-adhesive backing tape for adhering to walls, which can also be additionally fixed with staples, nails or screws.

When exposed to heat, the strip swells to lock against the internal side of an external wall, giving full fire protection without affecting the outer wall.

CV Cavity Strips are quick and easy to apply and fix, and are flexible to allow for use on curved or profiled surfaces. The product is available in numerous widths and thicknesses to provide coverage for different gap sizes.

CV Strip barrier is tested to BS476 parts 20, 22 and BS EN 1363-1 (1999), giving fire protection from 60 to 120 minutes.

All Envirograf products are produced in factories in Dover and Newcastle, and conform to ISO EN 9001:2000 testing in the UK and Europe.
